I went back to hy-vee again and and spent only $9.00 and saved a total of $20.00! The picture on the left is what I used to save money (missing is the $10.00 off coupon you can get in the store or in the ames advertiser) pretty exciting. AND, I got a six dollar coupon on milk the next time I go in!

www.restaurant.com is a great website to get discounted dining coupons! If you sign up your e-mail they will alert you of when you get get discounts on gift cards. For example, I live in the 50010 zip code. If I type that in two restaurants come up: Okoboji Grill (my husbands FAVORITE) or Tic Toc Italian Steakhouse in boone. We have bought many Okoboji grill coupons over the last couple of years. You can buy a 10 dollar gift card for 4 dollars OR buy a 25 dollar gift card for 12.50. However, once you sign up and order one coupon restaurant.com will let you know when those discounted prices will be 70-90% off!! So, I stock up on 25 dollar gift cards when I can get them for $2.40.

EXAMPLE:

Saturday night we went out for a date & ate at Okoboji grill. In order to use the coupon you must spend over 35 dollars. Another rule is they automatically add 18 % tip. So you can get appetizers, drinks, 2 meals and share a desert all for around 15.o0! pretty sweet deal. Also use restaurant.com when you are going out of town in bigger cities to save some green!
